nuh uh! You certainly don't look to be 250 lbs in this picture!!! Beautiful picture! I wish I had looked that good in my wedding pics, however, we just celebrated 20 years a couple of weeks ago, so all is good. And now, being down almost 100 pounds,…

So, this is probably a stupid question, but i have to ask, because I cannot find it in the manual... are we supposed to have labs at 6 months? The booklet that I got at checkout says to have labs at 1 year... I am confused.

My Birthday

Happy New Year!
Today is day 2 of post-op. Dr R bypassed 8 feet on December 31st! He really performed a miracle! First time out of bed, my knees and feet were pain-free! That is such a miracle! I just cannot believe it!
I am doing well, despite the uncomfortable hotel bed - I would have loved to stay in the hospital bed - it was soooo comfy!!
Prior to surgery, I was concerned that Dr. R would have problems with my bypass due to scarring from previous sugery! Well, luckily, the very skilled Dr. R… Continue

MGB selection guidelines

Hi all -
I am trying to get everything in order to have my MGB in Dec 31st and I have a question that I cannot find an answer to... hoping someone may have an answer (I've emailed CLOS and called a couple of times, but haven't heard back yet and am anxious to know...)
The selection guidelines say that to qualify a person may not have had prior abdominal surgery, except in certain circumstances, such as gallbladder removal, hysterectomy, etc.

Well, I had open gallbladder removal 13 years ago. Do… Continue

Nothing wrong with finishing college the long way. At least you finished. That's what matters :-)

Thanks Angela. My Oregon trip was so short and it was hard not having my own car. I promise we'll hook up next trip. With lots of family in Oregon, there will be many, many more "next trips". Stacy went to Linfield and Pacific University and has tentatively decided on Portland State. She loves the vibe of downtown. It's where my dad went.

Glad to hear you are doing so well.

Angela,
I eat EVERYTHING. I really do. Eggs don't set well and meat sometimes, but I still try them. I can drink buckets of soup and platefuls of salad. Junk food goes down fabulously (unfortunately) as well as ice cream. Old habits are hard to break for me, huh? Chocolate goes down fine, too. And even when I do eat the bad crap, I still lose, but not as much or as quickly.

So in answer to your question, I eat everything. But I should eat healthier.

Hi Angela,
So nice to meet you almost neighbor! We don't live that far away from each other and I work as a Manicurist in Forest Grove even closer. I am so excited for you and your successful weight loss. Maybe someday that can be me . I have about 140 lbs to lose but cant afford the surgery . Maybe if i win the lottery (I can only pray for a miracle to happen) I want it so bad to be healthy for myself and my 3 girls . I want to be around for them for a very long time . I lost my mother when I was 23yrs old . I added you to to my email and would like to talk about MGB and I will keep up with your success ! Thanks and God Bless
