Ok, i see this question was added a few months ago, but I'll put my 2 cents. In. I can eat a whole bowl of soup, a sandwhich and a piece of pie. no wonder I've gained 14lbs. I've been able to eat quite a bit of food since the dqay of surgery. It s...
Boy is that ever true--"surgically enforced portion control".....and it was exactly what I needed. If I eat chicken salad the chicken is so finely chopped that it seems to go down fine and it is moist. But I agree that if I try to just eat grilled...
yes, I really ate as much as my 2 year old granddaughter a few times a day... for a few months it hurt almost every time I ate chicken it didn't go down easy..but fish and shrimp and steak did better for some reason... the pain was noticeably less...

So after reading what you wrote, then it is OK that I can't eat much yet without some pain--being 1 month 4 days out. That made me feel better.
I cannot even fathom being able to eat a piece of pizza! I think 3 bites and I would be rolling ov...
Hi Gary
It has now been 1 month 4 days and some days I wonder that too about still having some inflammation and sensitivity at the connection. I do know that Dr P had to do extra work on me to get to my stomach as some ligament he has to pass on t...
I would eat as much as a 2 year old. I would babysit my gtranddaughter and we had about the same amount of food on our plates..till I hit 7 months out then I could eat like a thin person would. 1/2 a sandwich w/some chips or fruit I was drinking w...
Kim,
I wonder if you are not having sensitivity issues with the new connection. Maybe swelling or something. I really doubt that it has anything to do with your stomach being full with that small amount. Does it happen with true liquids? You would...
Hi there Angie! Thanks for the ad. Yep I'm in Quincy. So how long ago did you move away from this area of California, and what brought you up to Washington? I lived outside of Portland Oregon for a while in Newberg. So not too far south of where you are now.
So how long ago did you have the surgery? Had any problems?
Well take care!

hey where are the pictures of you? Your the one behind the camera aren't you? I am that way too. Put some pics up of you. I would like to see the changes so far. How are you doing????
hi angie, my name is cyndi and i am working on my packet can i ask you a question, i was reading your blog and you were talking about what you can eat after surgery, do you just eat soft foods for so long , and do you have to give up coke and coffee?
Hi Angie. Love your dog pics. I know I need to update my profile...it is so 'different' now. RU getting skinny? I am down 41 pounds so far...gotta get that ticker going...am not too computer oriented. BUT, I will figure it out. My grandsons are keeping me so busy. I want to spend more time on the 'learning' thing. One is speech delayed...I keep saying it is due to the fact that he is learning Spanish and English simultaneously. The younger one is a little 'pistol' and ready to learn everything. I plan on doing as much as I can for both of them before I go back to teaching full time in August. I will attend the MGBU2 in Winter Haven on July 24 and 25. I am wondering who I will see there....and I am thinking it will be those in FL mostly. Take care and let me know how you are doing...dusty

So far, no new surgery date. My focus has been on the Better Half's recovery, which is getting better and better each day. I'll refocus back on the packet and reschedule when she goes back to work. I was a little bit bummed about missing my surgery date, which would have been yesterday, but there a reason for this delay, and I'll find out what it is in time.
Sounds like you have YOUR hands full with your children too! I bet they give you a few chuckles every day, huh! =!)
Glad to hear you haven't had any complications and are doing well on your downward weight sprial. What is your goal weight?
Hi Jerry, How are you. We emailed a few times and you were going for the surgery after uniting with son and grandchild right? How are you? I had surgery and I am out 1 month.... Angie
Found it! =!)
I'm doing well. As I said before, getting things back to "normal (whatever THAT is!!) after the Better-Half's surgery... and trying to keep her resting so she doesn't over-exsert herself!
The Son and Grandson are doing GREAT!! Grandson took his first steps last week... NOW my son and daughter-in-law will be more busy than ever! At 11 mo. old (today!!!), he's speeding right along inhis developement... I had to laugh.... the Grandson didn't just say his first "word" last month.... he said a phrase. "What's THAT?" Really surprised everyone!
Besides that, playing "ketch-up" with my MGB packet and Psycho Exam.
It was good to hear your doing so well. Did you have any complications?
Please forgive the delay in getting back to you. My "Better Half had emergency gallbladder surgery and the last month has been complete kaos! Besides not checking this site, I still have 435 "MGB emails" in my in basket still waiting to be read... =!)
I will comment back on your original email in a few minutes... I need to find it again and see what you wrote!
CONGRATS on your weight loss!!! I am SOOOOO jealous!! I had to postpone my surgery (it was supposed to be May 6th), until we see what the bills are for the gallbladder surgery. BUt I haven't given up for a second, this is just a small inconvenient setback.
I am 1 Month out and feeling great! I lost 31 lbs and it just fell off. I didn't lose anything in week 3. Scared me. Everyone here is just wonderful. I feels good to see that scale move. I was worried that I can eat to much after having a band but it is falling off. YAY YAY YAY HURRAY!!! LOL
I love to talk with everyone. Send me a message anytime. Angie
