Oh how boring that is. I am 36 years old and have been overweight since the age of 11. I live in beautiful Sarasota, Florida, about 1 1/2 hours west and a little south of where Dr. P performs the sugery. I am single, contemplating adopting a child after this. I am an attorney who is in the Court room all the time, and it is why I have not adopted a child yet.

I have 3 sisters who have given me 3 nephews and one niece. They are the light of my life! My niece who they call mini me is in one of my pictures. She even talks like me. She wrote all over her book bag the day my sister bought it for her, and when my sister asked why she did it..."Mom, I didn't just write all over it I was personalizing it!" Spoken like the attorney in training I know she is. My entire family lives in NJ, only me down here. I miss them something fierce, but see them often.

Weight is definitely in my family. My oldest sister had RNY and has been successful with keeping the weight off. If you look at my two maternal grandmothers they look like bookends. Two roley poley polish women whos chubby ankles hang over the sides of their shoes. So far no ankles hanging over the side of my shoes, but I live in fear if I don't have the surgery then this is in my immenent future.

My surgery is scheduled for 6/20/08 with Dr. P in Florida.
