Hi All,
Well, it's the Labour Day Weekend, and September 2nd was my 1 month anniversary.
I was down 27 lbs from my Surgery weight, which is great. My pants are starting to fall off me, and I'm losing the weight everywhere... not just off my belly.
I haven't had too many issues so far... a couple...
1) Diarrhea (cha cha cha) - I've had it on and off since my surgery. Yes, I'm taking my fibre. It's actually not so much the diarrhea, but the gas discomfort. I'm su

So here I am... 13 days out now.
I'm doing well, I have ZERO pain. I've had no pain from food, no pain from ports, nothing... now and then I have some discomfort from eating too much, but that's about it.
I started on Stage II foods a couple of days ago, but pretty lightly. I'm eating stuff like Mashed Potato's and Egg Salad on crackers. I tried Peanut Butter on Crackers too, and that was fine.

Hi All,
Today I went to the Tuesday clinic at the hospital. I got to meet Sandy and Dr R today and see all the folks who had their surgery last week. Nobody had any real problems, which was kind of nice to see... though one guy had to go to emerg because of hydration. He said the day after that he felt like a new man.
They had a couple of guest speakers today too... Giovanni (sp?) who many of you probably saw on YouTube, was there... as was a very pretty girl who was almost 500l

I'm in Las Vegas, and I'm actually heading over to the hospital this morning to register for my surgery.
Tomorrow is the clinic, and I get to meet the man... Dr. R.
Then Thursday is the big day...
I'm sure all will go well, my pre-op came back with no issues that my GP could see, and I'm still relatively healthy.
I still have the fears about eating afterwards... after all, who among us doesn't enjoy a good meal (unlike the one I had at SeaBlue @MGM last night..

Hi All,
So I am in Las Vegas for a conference and I get a call from Kim Hazen telling me that my surgery is cancelled. I wasn't given any reason, other than there are no surgeries in Bay City until September 5th... which doesn't work for me.
So... I am coming back to Vegas and having Dr. R himself do my MGB on August 2nd. It's a bit of a bummer, cause it's costing me a small fortune, and I'll be far from my boys, but what can you do. This is my window to get the MGB.

I haven't been in touch in quite some time. I wonder how you're doing? You're several months post-op and I wonder how things have been? How is the weight loss? I'd love to hear from you.
