Boy I did it today. I know better, I really do. I am 6 months out and all is well. Weight loss finally pretty much on target at 80+ lbs down from the start of 343. Scale didn't move for 2 weeks then down 3 lbs last week so that little frustration went away.
I didn't want much for lunch so I had some soup and cornbread. So far so good. I then had a bowl of fat free frozen yogurt. So far so good. It tasted great so I had another.

The MGB is like buying a car!

You know, the MGB is like buying a car. I bought from a personable guy in Las Vegas. The special order was a huge hassle as the sales guy and the dealer’s staff made sure they covered the dealerships ass legally and made real sure I knew how to use the cars (MGB) special features. The staff was not trained in the field. But all drove the same new car as I was buying, (some had taken delivery of more than one!!) Limited product knowledge was fine though as the staff handled only paperwork issues.… Continue

Hungry all week

I am about to test my theory that we will lose weight no matter what we eat (I posted about it awhile back)
I have been eating like a horse this week. Just can't seem to get enough until around dinner time when I eventually fill up.
I am taking all the vitamins, protein shake religiously in the AM, which actually makes me hungry even though it always has some fruit also. I am less hungry if I eat nothing..go figure.

MGB Diet follow up

The responses I got here and elsewhere to my diet post were helpful. I was surprised to find I had less problems on the short cruise we just took. (not the one in my picture which was a couple of years ago. I keep that picture as a reminder of why I did the MGB)

Wow Gary, you're looking great! I was dissapointed about the protein shots since they were so convenient. But you're probably right, they ran right through you and you probably didn't absorb any of that protein. Oh well. Atleast we know now. The lemonade protein powder I mentioned is not too bad though....just not as convenient.
