Gina aka Mizz Gina, Mizz Gypsy, Italiana Gypsy
About Me:
My name is Gina, I am 26 and a Virgo, I live in PA with my mom and stepdad and dog Mister (who I treat like my son). I am VERY close with my family. I am single with no kids, but hopefully some day I will have some. I work as a web designer and have for about 2 years, I love my job it is my passion. I have 4 tattoos, 5 piercings, I love all kinds of music but prefer rock or hip-hop.

I was overweight ALL my life. Ever since I can remember, I was always the "pretty chubby girl". I had this surgery because I realized that at 25, with high blood pressure, I was not getting all I want out of life. My weight has always held me back, well no more!! I will take you all on my journey with me!

My Surgery!

It has officially happened, I am on the other side, woo hoo!!!

There were many times when I thought I would chicken out, or something unforeseen would happen and somehow this surgery wouldn't happen. But it did. And having it behind me now feels so good I can't even tell you. As you all know the packet takes hard work, so after doing all of that, I am finally done! No more waiting for approval, getting all my info. ready, wondering what it will feel like, waiting to meet everyone, etc.

Way to go girlfriend!! HALF WAY TO GOAL Isn't it interesting how the weight comes off however it wants, mostly irregardless of what we do or don't eat.
Have your stomach "aches" resolved? I wondered if you had made any changes to any of the medications, prilosec in particular.
I see where some post ops have continued to use prilosec even several years out. I hope that's not the case with me. I've never been one to be good at sticking with taking pills. I don't always get all my daily vitamins in because I just simply forget.
I did have a few days of gastritis when I first started into phase 3 and ate too much meat too late one night that gave me bile reflux. I doubled up on prilosec and went back to phase 2 and it resolved after about 3 days. If it hadn't gone away, I would have consulted with the Dr. I didn't realize what it was at first. My tummy was rumbling hungry all the time and then it would hurt like it was too full, regardless of what I did or didn't put in it. Finally dawned on me to look up gastritis on the Yahoo forum search engine and determined what to try first before calling the Dr. Sure hope its resolved for you.

I'm looking forward to some updated pictures of you too.
