Well first off, I'm a 21 year old single mom to the most beautiful litte girl ever. She's my world and my everything. Anything and everything I do, I do for her. I'm going to school to be an esthetician to better my life and get a career started. I graduate in 2 weeks and I'm so excited. Other than that, I spend my days hanging out with my family and friends as much as possible.

Surgery on Wednesday!

I can't believe it's finally here! I fly out to Vegas tomorrow and my surgery is on Wednesday! I'm soo excited! I would love to know who my littermates are, but I'm confused on how I find out who they are. Oh well, I guess I will just meet them there! After doing everything in my packet, I thought this day would never come. Trying to get my packet done!

For the past 2 weeks, I've been trying to get as much as my packet done as possible. I've been researching and researching for days so I can write my 15 page patient letter. This process is more difficult than I thought. However, I understand that they have to make it this way. People need to realize that this is a lifestyle change and know how important it is to think everything through and understand it throughly. I'm so sorry it took me so long to reply. I was out of town and in the process of moving so I didn't have access to my computer.
Did you still need another contact?
Your daughter is Beautiful! You are making a wonderful decision for yourself, your daughter and your future by going for the MGB. It's the best thing I've done for myself and I'm know I'm a better wife and mother for it. I'm actually active with my little ones and can finally keep up with them....well - almost (they're FAST!!!!)

Please let me know if you need anything!

Jaime: As I only had surgery September 26th, I don't feel I'm qualified to to be a contact for you. I consider myself a newbie since I don't have the months (or years) of experience to draw on in order to provde you with an adequate picture of life after MGB surgery. I'm a long ways from reaching my goal and haven't gone through enough trials and tribulations to be a contact for you. But I wish you luck and contratulations on making this important decision to drastically change your life and eating habits. What I can do for you is answer any questions you may have about my surgery since everything is still quite fresh in my mind. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions you may have. Just remember it's as much a mental process as a physical one.

Jaime: The Paient Letter is where you write answers to the (I think it is 15) subjects on obesity, alternatives to surgery, etc. Some of this info I got from the Manual, some I got from the internet.

Hi Jamie, thanks for adding me as a friend. I can totally relate to how you're feeling right now because I'm still working on my packet. I have so many things on the go right now with school, volunteer work and the family that it seems like I can't focus too much on the packet, but I keep making the time because I owe it to myself.

I hope all goes well for! Congratulations on making a decision to care enough about yourself and do what you have to do (e.i. MGB) in order to live a longer, happier, healthier life.
