It might be interesting to look at the fabric content label, on pants in particular, to see what the percentage of "stretch" is.....like spandex or even some polyesters. I'm allergic to spandex and have a terrible time finding pants anymore that I...

still in the same size

I have lost 51.5 pounds and I can wear my 26/28 jeans that I haven't been able to wear for a year or more. But I still can wear my work slacks that are size 30/32 with no problems. they are looser in the legs then they were before but the stomach and butt area fits just fine. I know I didn't lose 51.5 pounds in my thighs. I just don't see a differance when i look in the mirror. If it wasn't for the scale then I wouldn't believe that i have lost that much. I have some 5x shirts that were baggy on… Continue

I think my MGB is curing my Psorisis

I have psorisis on the back of my hand and for the last 3 weeks it has been getting better and I havent been putting any meds on it. I usually cream it a lot. But I havent had to it is smaller and seems to be going away. I love the MGB and DR. R.

yummy protein shake

Whey protein from GNC Vanilla flavor. You put in a scoop of cirtcel and it taste like a orange cream bar. the vanilla ice cream that has the orange on the outside. It is so good. I make a big one and my husband and I share it. even my boys like it. Also the chocolate flavor is pretty good to. They taste good but are not overly sweet.

Hey Jen , no worries I honestly hadn't read what you wrote in a bad way at all:-) I am just curious why both the doctors disagree on this Calcium thing. Weird huh?

That is so funny Jen! I have been doing a lot of cleaning also because of having so much "extra" energy. AND, my husband's parents are coming for Thanksgiving also, and they haven't seen our house that we bought this last Spring either...Too funny.
Yeah, my Dad kind of self inflicts his sickness...so, I am sure he will get a handle on it.

Jen! Woweee girl! Look at you go! I am so excited for you. Thank you for the super nice compliments...they just topped off my good morning...I decided to go through my drawers, and try on my jeans that I have hung on to in hopes of getting back into them one day...They are jeans from when my hubby and I were dating, so, 6-8 years old...and they ALL FIT! YAY! I was super excited. So, I moved all the too big ones into one drawer, and the ones that fit now into another drawer...so, when I shrink out of these pants, I will officially not have any more jeans to wear lol.
My dad is doing pretty awesome. His diabetes is GONE, and he has a lot of energy. He has thrown up quite a bit more than me and LaRell have. We were pretty sure that's how it would be, as my dad is used to eating a LOT of food, FAST...on the go.
Keep me posted on your journey..I love reading the updates!

Wow, that is completely amazing-40 pounds at 6 weeks! I'm sure you're feeling great. It will be time to get some new clothes soon, if you don't already need too. Those pants are going to be falling off your legs.

Hi Jen, I can't wait to watch your progress. I was overweight since childhood too (though, not as severe as you had it), so I can somewhat relate. I did thin out for about 2 years in my teens, but it was really difficult to keep up the twice daily workouts and small portions of food. I am so happy that my family found this surgery and that I chose to do it. I know you are going to be amazed at how the weight drops off in the coming months and how the whole MGB lifestyle will seem like second nature.
