So, surprisingly enough, OHIP replied to my letter about cancelling MGB coverage. I feel it is very important to let all of you know what the letter contained. While I am struggling to get coverage, there is something in the letter that those of you who have had surgery may feel is important to you.

I'm still lingering in the shadows, hoping against all hope that the Ontario government comes to it's senses (as if it ever had any to begin with). I sent a note to Flo, hoping that there is something I can do.

I will be going to an information session on November 30th to learn more about the MGB surgery. I have been reading the patient manual. And it is scary! I haven't been sharing too many of the details with my husbnad yet. He's coming with me to the info session. At that point, I think we will both be equally informed and ready to forge on ahead. I posted a few days ago on the yahoo site, asking for "old timers" to tell their story. I had an overwhelmingly positive response! Then I looked at some pictures of the MGBers who have been down to their low weight for years. What an inspiration.
