Hi Sherry,
My name is Wendy Gibbs, I live in Apex, NC and am 39 years old, 5'4" and 226 lbs. I want to get this bypass. Can you give me a little insight on how your procedure went for you and things that you learned not to do since your journey be...

I am working on my packet, hope to get my MGB by July. I have never been less than a size 12, and that was only for a year because my exhusband was going to leave me, back in 1993...I want to do the MGB for me this time, and be what I want to be without this nagging addiction.

Hey Wendy I sent you my contact letter! I wish you all the best and in my mind you will be having the BEST Surgeon out there. Dr.P is truly an amazing surgeon and his staff is second to none! If you have any other question please feel free to ask me anything. Good Luck and please stay in contact.
I've lost 70 lbs since 1/7/09. Sometimes it's surreal, like I can't believe this is me, that I had the MGB, and have lost this much weight. And sometimes, I wish I could EAT. I am having a hard time with meat still. It feels like it's caught in the middle of my chest. Junk food still goes down suprisingly fine. I don't have a problem with milk or ice cream. Eggs do not go down, and I used to love them. Soup goes down fine. I like the Gatorade. And I hate the way my t-shirts are falling off my shoulders now and my bra shows. (I know, if that's my only problem....). But I have tons of clothes stashed in Rubbermaid bins and in two closets that I'm dying to wear. Some of them are from my honeymoon. I figure I'm about 30 lbs. away from wearing them again. Can't wait.
