About Me:

I had my surgery on Thur Dec 13 with Dr. P in Fl and I'm 21 years old and type 2 diabetic. It's been a little bit over 6months and I've lost a total of 90lbs, I went from 265 and now I'm down to around 175. My diabetes is gone, I have alot of energy, I'm having to get new clothes. I feel great and it's one of the greatest things I've ever did.

It made me feel some pressure in my stomach, and I only took a couple of sips. So, I just stay away from the stuff. I drink gatorade, water, juice...And can drink a good amount. I do have to do the sipping at meal time. Otherwise, I can overfill, and become very uncomfortable. The other thing I can't drink like I used to is milk. Plain milk sits heavy in my stomch. Chocolate milk sits much easier, for some reason. Weird, hu? Tips...Follow the instructions in the manual, don't overeat, get your fluids in, be patient and allow yourself (mentally) the time to heal. It's a new way of life after surgery, and I know that I had to adjust. I'm not very patient, which didn't help. Take your meds, and take good care of yourself.

Write these down the day or so before surgery as well as every month, around the anniversary of your surgery. There will be times when the scale may not move, but you will still be losing inches. It will really help you stay motivated!! Please keep us informed of your progress!!
