Hello, I did not stay on soft foods for long. I just took it slow and easy. It is definately a learning process. I do not drink anything but G2 or water. Green tean sometimes. Taste just like ice tea too....it;s good
I can eat anything but I try to stay away from dairy. If I eat it I punish the family...LOL gasy I owe them anyway. When is your surgery or have you had it?
2 weeks i ate potaoes, beans, i craved avacado and tomatoe, easy on meat fish worked well but take slow bites and chew then weight. Most things slide threw but meat stops you and after surgery you have to be careful. You can feel it. But if you feel it stop and wait. Don't take more bites.
Hi Cyndi,
I had my surgery July 1st and we just got back home yesterday. I have been feeling great. I lost 12 pounds the first 10 days and I find that I can eat most anything I want already but only a bite of course. I keep having to remind myself to slow down. Old habits die hard I guess but I will learn. It gets painful if you don't take it slow so that is a good reminder. Stay in touch.
My experience with MGB has been pretty good!!! I've lost less than others but I was on a mega dose of lasix (water pill). Others lost about 20 pounds of water weight which I didn't have to lose in the beginning. Feel free to use me as a contact josize2@gmail.com is my email address. You can read my blogs on hear to fill out info you got from me in your contact letter for your package. If I can answer any questions please let me know. The ONLY pain I had after surgery was gas in my abdomen but walking helps with that. I actually had it for about a week. The day after I got out of the hospital I was at Costco shopping and a week later I was riding my horse. I feel great!
Hey! I would love to be a contact for you! Email me at lizzyj06@yahoo.com. I am only 7 weeks out, so my experiences are new and I am sure I have more to come. Let me know if you would still like some info. It was an amazing experience and continues to be the greatest gift of my life.

Hi Cyndi-
I'd love to be a contact for you! I have a letter that tells about me and follows my MGB experiences for the first year. If you send me an email to ParkeFamily@comcast.net then I can send it right out to you. I'm actually on vacation in Utah right now, so I'm a bit behind on my emails and such. so bear with me. :-)
Hi Cyndi! I haven't had the surgery yet either....I'm working on my packet and trying to make some contacts. I've made 2 so far...with Edie and Rose on here. I hope we can keep in touch with each other as we go through this process. :)
