o you know of any other ways to get a loan, I've tried capital one So far, I don't have enough credit and my mother has things on her credit from the past so I'm having trouble getting the loan. My regular insurance through my job doesn't cover any kind of weight loss surgery so if I can't come up with a loan I'm just about ready to give up.
Hey Jolene. How are you? My name's Jaime and I have struggled with weight my whole life and I've finally decided to take the step towards a better me and get MGB. I'm soo excited that I've been doing everything I can to finish my packet, so I can have the surgery before the New Year. I want to start off a fresh new year with a fresh new me. I can't wait to better my life for me and my daughter. So I'm on the step where I need to find contacts and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind being one of mine. I'd really really appreciate it. Thanks so much and good luck with your weight loss and the path to a "new" you!

Hi Kerry, I'll see what I can do, but it probably won't be until the weekend or early next week. I'm in the process of studying for a couple test and a preparing a speech I have to give on Saturday for my communications class. Not to mention I have to prepare a lesson for church and teach a cake decorating class next week...but I'll try to squeeze it in. I weighed myself last night and I am down 51 lbs from my high weight in June. I'm down 38 pounds since the surgery in August, so things are going well. I'm not sure a picture is going to show much of a difference yet, but I can sure feel it in the way my clothes now fit and also by how much more energy I have. I can actually climb a flight of stairs without feeling like I'm going to pass out!! LOL Anyway, GOOD LUCK NEXT WEEK!! Can't wait to hear some more good news. :)
All right, Jolene, time for a new picture. Sadie and I need some inspiration for our surgeries next week! Let's see that new svelte bod! - Kerry

Hi Stephen. Congratulations on getting your packet done. That is awesome and this surgery will make a big difference for you. I know it's making a big difference for me. As for financing, my mother opened up an equity home loan through State Farm that I am now paying off. This was the best option for me. All the other loans that I qualified for had much higher interest rates as I don't have any collaterol to back the loan up with despite my having an excellent credit rating. One suggestion when getting your financing. It costs $17,000 for the surgery, but don't forget to also include expenses such as food, hotel, car rental, gas, activities, etc while you are there. You may also want to get a loan for more just incase there are any complications and you have to be rehospitalized...then if you don't need it, you can just pay that lump sum back to the loan company. And pay the loan off sooner. I actually took some of my other debts such as my car and a credit card and consolidated all my debts so I can be debt free sooner. My advice for finding a loan company that works for you is to check around, call every finance company you find or check them out online. Also if you have any whole or universal life insurance policies in place, check with them to see if you can take a loan out against the policy. That might be an option as well. Hope this helps. Good luck in your search.
Do you know any good financing companies for the surgery? I'm looking at a November surgery date in Florida because I'm just about complete with my packet.

Hi Sadie,
I am doing good. Thanks for asking. I am down about 25 lbs since surgery and about 46 lbs from my high point. I'm doing well over all. I have dealt with agent orange a few times, and brought my lunch up a couple times due to eating too quick and not chewing properly. I'm learning my lesson though and things are falling into place. I haven't been able to post much as my extra time is going into studying for my classes. I have 6 classes this semester and also working 40 hours a week, so my extracurricular time is pretty much non-existent. I do know however that I would not be able to have the energy I am experiencing to get through my busy schedule if I had not had this surgery. So far I am very pleased with the decision to have the MGB. As for pics, I don't have any new pics yet, but will post some hopefully not to far into the future.
So how are things with you? Anything new going one? Talk to you soon. Have a great night.
