Husband is won over to mgb

My main concern was that my husband never asked questions or commented when I told him about the mgb. He did look at pictures on the computer if I pointed them out but he never asked anything. I would talk about the surgery, the plans, the money arrangements but he did not want to talk about it. When I would watch the videos he would not look. Once I got him to look at the Part I about Gil Gerard's journey with the mgb but he would not view the other two parts. I was afraid this would not happen… Continue

Time, prayer, and money

I am Jo in Arkansas and I have been researching the mgb with Dr. R in Vegas since Jan. I am currently saving $ and working on my packet and praying. I have met some very nice people who encourage and help on this site. I hope to hear from others. My husband is not quite sure about this so I had him listen to a video from the clos.net site. He would only watch the part one about Gil Gerard. I pray for his support.

Thanks Jo...this site is pretty user friendly so get those kids over and make them show you how to do it...!! I would love to see new pics. I am going to post some tonight maybe if I get my butt off the computer and get some work done today,LOL
It was a beautiful wedding. Hopefully they will be able to do the work that makes it last...they have a long way to go and it really worries me sometimes. I have to give them over to the Lord if you know what I mean.

I'm glad you enjoyed my blog. Its very frank, I don't want to come off like everything is ok, its an adjustment. I wonder, who is doing your surgery? I thought there were only 2 clinics, one in Las Vegas, Nevada and the other in Davenport Florida. Are you going with CLOS?

I am down 112 pounds in 11 mos. almost and as big as I was I still am a good size woman at 240 but, I will try to post more at the end of the month when I catch myself with my makeup on and looking my best. carol

I apologize, I have read so many profiles and then gone to other sites and I am thoroughly mixing up people! Nevertheless, your comments are a great encouragement to me and that is what I really need right now. You did a great job of creating an image I can hang onto and think of when I fell unsure or if I have a problem in the recovery. Thank you.
My youngest daugher is 20 and her wedding is Feb. 9 so I have been in deep planning and shower attending mode for about four months. I have put on more weight instead of losing it and that scares me. I hope that when I get this wedding behind me I will be able to focus on eating more healthy, I just wish I had responded to this stress in a better way.
