Been so long...

I can't believe it's been so long since I've made an entry. Life has been busy.

Here's an update on some of the things that have happened this summer: shortly after my last post I went to Disneyland. You know how they take your picture on some of the rides like Space Mountain? I remember looking at my picture afterward and being excited that I no longer took up the entire seat.

In July I went to Salt Lake City for a convention. I didn't have to walk sideways in the aisle on the… Continue

10 weeks...

WOW! This week has been unbelievable. As of Wed (7/4), my official 10 weeks, I was 206.5. That's 39.5 lbs down and a 5.5 lb loss in the last week!! That's my second best week, I think. And yes, I'm continuing to weigh every day, so today (Friday), I was down to 205. I can't believe I'm this close to being under 200. I haven't been that weight in six years.

I remember six years ago I was doing the Lindora diet, and I must have started around 209 or something because I remember I got clo

Nine weeks...

This week I lost a bit more. As of yesterday, I got down to 212. That's a total of 35 lbs lost in nine weeks!

Things are going pretty well, though I'm feeling more and more tired and sleepy. I confess that I've been having a hard time getting my pills down. Since the surgery, I haven't been able to swallow pills. First it was because I couldn't take enough liquid in one sip at a time. Now, I can take a big enough sip/gulp, but I keep taking in enough air and end up with pain.

8 weeks...

Wow, I can't believe I didn't post last week. Well, Last week I believe I was 219. This morning, I weighed in at 215. I'm so excited over it! This is the weight I was when I got pregnant with my oldest 4.5 years ago.

My sister is leading a team for the MS Challenge Walk. I'm considering joining. I've gotta get into exercising (though I promised hubby I'd head to Curves tomorrow), but I figure this could only help with the weight loss. I've never walked more than a 5K. The idea of walki

6 weeks....

Hmmm... I could have sworn I posted at 5 weeks. Really weird. Anyhow, at five weeks I was 226.5 and at six week I was 221.5. So that's a total of 25.5 lbs in six weeks. Not too shabby.

I'm doing much better overall. I think I'm finally starting to get my eating under control. I've noticed I'm consciously making better choices. For example, we drove through Wendy's. I've really come to like their baked potato, and I'll add cheese. Hubby got a burger and fries. I was so tempted by the fr

Hi Kathy I saw your post to Patti and was wondering if you have to eat to keep weight on or are you just afraid it won't stop now. Have you slowed down in your losing? I am about the same as you I have lost 30 lbs in 9 weeks so far. I started at 264 and now am 233. did you exercise much? I am finding I am still too heavy to do much but I have been much more pyshical than before..you are much younger than I am too. I was hoping to lose about 100 lbs but if I lose 120 that would be ok too. Just curious about your weight lose..Rose

The MS Challenge Walk sounds like a great motivator! I feel like my scale is taunting me, so maybe that will motivate me to move, move, move!
