Mini-Gastric Bypass

Las Vegas, Nevada & Orlando Florida, Get The Mini-Gastric Bypass for Life!!

March 29, 2008 was the one year anniversary of my MGB surgery. I've lost about 140 pounds. I'm feeling great, and am very happy with the results I've had. I went from a shirt size of 5x, almost a 6x, to now being able to wear a 18/20, and sometimes even a 14/16. I'm wearing a size 16 in pants, where before I was wearing a size 4x. Thanks to my MBG buddies, (littermates), I haven't had to buy hardly any clothing at all, since they've passed on to me their "hand-me-downs"... I guess there was a benefit to being the largest one to have surgery that day!! Thank you ladies!

A few things I'm thankful for...
-Having my kids compliment me
-When my kids can put their arms all the way around me when they hug me
-Having my husband embarrass me, telling everyone how proud of me he is
-Knowing that my parents are pround of me, and probably very relieved about my health
-Being able to go to Disneyland, and not feel embarrassed or humiliated
-Knowing my health is so much better now
-Making some new and wonderful friends, and having the MGB group, where you can share ANYTHING
-And for Dr. R.
...The list really does go on and on and on...

That's fantastic Georgia! I know just what you mean when you say you are thankful that your kids can wrap their arms around you! I'm really looking forward to that myself.

You know I felt like I needed to update my 1 yr. and how things have changed but, nothing I thought of was good enough. I am just so happy to feel so much better. I just appreciate everything that everyone has shared and think that this line of communication between folks is the best medicine for all of us. When we feel discouraged it is fixed in no time with words of encouragement. I really do appreciate your long distance friendship and know that one day we will probably end up meeting. By then we should be able to wrap our arms around twice right !!! I hope and pray that we both get where we're going in this next year. Cheers to you my friend Carol Ware
