Well it has been a month of learning. For the most part all has gone well. I have slowly added new things to eat, still mostly soft. I am way over soup at this point. The things that seem to be best are fresh fruit and vegetables. I have been experiencing the occasional gas bubble logged in my chest while eating. Eating slower and smaller seem to help eliminate this issue, thus, the learning part of this experience. I have gone back to working out with my trainer, and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. With my energy not all back I was worried that I would be starting all over again. Fortunately, the first workout wasn't too bad, I am not where I was before surgery but I am not all the way back at the start either. After two weeks of working out I am feeling strong, it won't take long before my cardio is back to the level that I had achieved before MGB. Working out and the surgery are the perfect marriage I think. Instead of trying to make the workouts do everything for me they just have to make me strong and increase endurance. The MGB will take care of the weight for me. It is one month and one week since surgery and I am down 30 lbs from surgery day. I can live with that!! I have been take my measurements to show my progress, because I was worried that with working out my weight wouldn't be an accurate way to track my it. Right now clothes seem to be the best indicator. They are falling off of me. I am going to have to go and buy new pants soon. Still lots of new adjustments but for all the right reasons. This is going to be a good thing.
