Hi guys!! I'm 2 days out yet, and while I feel pretty ok, I was hoping to feel better sooner (silly me!). I got a lot of sleep last night - about 10 hours, then had a shower. After breakfast (a few spoonfuls of yogurt and some Gatorade) I called Trish at CLOS to check in. I told her that I'm having a lot of trouble peeing. So, yesterday a masked man stabbed me 5 times, bypassed 7" of intestine, and did it all in 33 minutes. It's funny, but for our group, most operations were 33 min and 7" bypassed!! There was a gentleman who was back for a revision. Dr. R. had bypassed 8", but Tom lost 100 pounds, and then gained back 20. Dr. R. gave him an additional 6" for 14" bypass!!! Here it is, Wednesday night, 9:26, and I sit here at my computer, having filled out my consent form for the second time - I brought a photocopy, unsigned, with me, but I had to do it all over again! Aaargh!! Had a wonderful overnight trip to California - Desert Hot Springs. Stayed with our friends, had a tour of the area, got thrown from a golf cart - yep, it really happened!! So, didn't think the whole 3 hour time change vs. time of flying out thing through. With the 3 hour time difference, by the time we landed in Vegas, got our rental car, got to the hotel and into bed it was 1am local time, or 4am Toronto time. Then sleeping in a strange bed, especially overtired was not good. But had a great breakfast today, did my admitting thing, then we drove to the Hoover Dam. WOW!!!
